Welcome to East Riding & Hull Care Association
The East Riding & Hull Care Association is The Trade Association for the Caring Sector in the East Riding of Yorkshire and the City of Hull.
Representatives of the Association meet regularly with Officers from the Social Services Departments of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the Kingston upon Hull City Council and the Association is recognised as being the main negotiating body with both of the above local authorities.
Acting on our members’ behalf the Association has successfully negotiated the following points:
· The clause in the latest contract from the East Riding of Yorkshire Council where you had to provide a carer to accompany a resident when they had to go to hospitalhas been deleted because we as an Association fought against it.
· Only a few months ago, a member discovered that she had signed an energy contract with an unscrupulous firm in Warrington, which could have cost her thousands of pounds – Our advisors managed to get her out of the contract.
· In a meeting with CSCI Officers last year, a member had their grading changed from 2 to 3 as a result of our Administrator speaking at the relevant meeting on their behalf.
These are just a few of the many benefits of being a member of the ER&H Care Association. As a Trade Association we gather and collate information which we receive from other organisations which will be of interest to our members.
We have our own web site which members can advertise on free of charge
Members Meetings of the Association are held on a quarterly basis at The Willerby Manor Hotel, Well Lane, Willerby, HU10 6ER
